I've found a 1977 Kawasaki KZ 650 (an air-cooled four cylinder) in good mechanical shape being sold locally. It includes a big Vetter fairing and hard saddlebags, along with a luggage rack and top box. The guy is asking $625 US.
I took a look at it last night. The cosmetics of the bike are not bad for a 23 year old bike, and mechancially everything seems sound. The tires, forks etc. seem decent. The engine started easily while cold, and the owner let me take it for a short loop in the parking lot.
I am planning on doing a four week road trip this spring, and I think this bike would work a lot better for that than my Savage 650.
What do you think?
